Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information BetEdge AI ("we") collects when you use betedgeai.com (the "Service"), how we use it and the choices you have. Questions? Email support@betedgeai.com.

The short version: we collect your email, your account and billing status, and the bets you choose to track. We don't sell your personal information. Marketing emails are opt-in, and you can turn them off anytime.

1. Information we collect

Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are stored only in encrypted (hashed) form, so we can't read them.
Subscription and billing status: your plan, trial dates and subscription status. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number.
Bets and picks you track: the bets, parlays and wagers you add to My Picks, and bet slip images you upload to scan.
Questions you ask the AI: chat and voice questions are sent to our AI provider to generate an answer. We don't keep a history of your chat conversations on our servers. Voice input is converted to text by your browser or device.
Referrals: whether you signed up with someone's referral link, and referral rewards earned.
Technical data: the IP address you signed up from (used only to prevent referral abuse), plus basic server logs such as request times and errors.
Marketing preference: whether you agreed to receive marketing emails, and when.

2. How we use it

To run the Service: log you in, show your tracked bets, and give you the features of your plan.
To process payments, trials, renewals and referral rewards.
To send account emails, such as receipts, trial reminders and security notices. You'll get these even without marketing consent.
To send marketing emails (tips, new features and offers) only if you opted in.
To prevent fraud and abuse, keep the Service secure, and fix problems.
To follow the law.

3. Marketing emails

You choose whether to get marketing emails, either with the checkbox when you sign up or later under Your account. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also turn them off in Your account or by emailing support@betedgeai.com. We may use an email marketing service to send these emails. That service handles your email address only to send our messages.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as much as they need:

Stripe: payments and subscriptions
Render: hosting and database
Anthropic: AI analysis of the questions you ask and bet slips you scan
Email providers: sending account and, if you opted in, marketing emails

Sports data providers (odds, stats, weather and injuries) supply data to us. We don't send them your personal information. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you logged in and remember settings like your theme. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to:

tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy;
correct information that's wrong;
delete your account and personal information;
stop sending you marketing emails.

Email support@betedgeai.com from your account's email address. We'll respond within 45 days and won't treat you differently for using these rights.

California residents: under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the rights listed above, including the right to know, delete and correct your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

9. Age limit

The Service is for adults 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make a material change, we'll let you know by email or on the Service before it takes effect.
